    ROFL andy

Fact is, people even in india now a days do not use I.E as their primary browser ,rather work out with firefox or even safari or opera.(which was quite a rare thing few years ago, because windows was the only O.S they were knowing about).
i remembered asking my friend which CPU he use ,he answered Windows XP lolz .

if this default FF becomes reality, then we can expect a bundled Open office . Or dual O.S DVD( Windows se7en +Ubuntu 8.xx from MS ) :P

Looks like the Opera Software CTO, is looking at 2 options :

    - he actually wants Microsoft to throw open its Automatic Update service to Google, Mozilla, and Opera!

    - or he wants Microsoft to display the entire range of available browsers and give the customer the choice !!

I just fail to see the logic !

Apple Mac OS X ships with Safari.
Ubuntu ships with Firefox as default.
All Linux ship with some pre-installed default browser.

So why single out Windows + IE ?

Opera just blatantly wants to piggy-back on the Windows gravy train

Thank you for all your replies. Let's face facts, the vast majority of people aren't bothered what comes with what, all they want is an pc with an operating system that connects to the internet quickly and easily, Windows does exactly that. The EU is against business and it is that simple, but will throw billions at industries that are failing or agriculture with 19th centry ways of doing things.

When I would ask people what their operating system is, I would get answers like, "I don't know. I use AOL" (I don't know if AOL is international. In the event it isn't, AOL is an a internet service provider.)
