Here is the latest on facebook (read my comment/s above):

Facebook has made a change to its TOS. Now they claim complete ownership of all of the content you upload for all time and can use it for any purpose, including making money off it, even if you close your account.

Facebook's New Terms Of Service: "We Can Do Anything We Want With Your Content. Forever."

That is why it pays to read the TOS, but not many people do and why the will be caught out with this. If facebook has done this all the others will follow suit and in the end they will have ownership of everything uploaded

Facebook has decided to revert back to old Terms of Use under pressure

"Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised."

That is good news, perhaps the only to resolve these issues is to contact the supplier of the service (which sadly many will not do so) or to leave the service completly without making an additions before you
