Default How do you block Facebook Ads?

HEy guys, I had IE7 with IE7pro installed. I would right click to filter images, and it would filter it for then. But as soon as I refreshed the page or go to another one the add would come back. Are there any other ways to get rid of adds?
I also don't have IE7pro anymore, because I unistalled it and went to IE8.
    Thanks for your help,
    -Beaver_2

Just out of curiosity, I created a restore point and installed IE7Pro in IE8. Seems to work OK from what I can tell. Could you supply an URL for a page you would want ads blocked for so I can test it? PM me if you prefer.

Welcome to the WVC forums, BTW!

I right click to get the properties of the image and it gives me this url:
    http://creative.ak.facebook.com/ads3...1_8dc6d58c.jpg
All the adds seem to come from
    http://creative.ak.facebook.com

I tried putting it in restricted sites but it still didn't block the images.
Is IE8pro coming out anytime soon?

Oh, so you want to ban ads on the Facebook site itself? I misunderstood your post, then....or did I?

Do you use the HOSTS file? If not google HOSTS for more information

I use a HOST file to block such ads and other sites - I use the HOSTMAN app to manage and update the HOSTS file which has 215,792 sites/URLs to block.

I think it works well and I do not think it slows either the PC or the net.
