    hi !

leofelix: "the link I posted contain the final FF 3.5.1 release, I always check links or software before posting"

    REALLY ?

it had NOT been released when i checked at the Firefox main page !

    please read my post again...

"However now FF 3.5.1 is available via Firefox update"

yes, you are correct, NOW it´s available, but it had NOT been officially "RELEASED" when you posted the download-link !

did you read the info on the index.html-file ?

    hi !

marcEmarc: since this is a security problem, why didn´t you post about it under "Windows Security" ?

    any moderators awake ?

    please move the thread.

i have now installed 3.5.1 and as i suspected, you have to change the settings back via about:config yourself.

@ hackerman1: Try to compare setup files from that directory and FF setup files from "official mozilla website".
    There are no differences.
I'm using now FF downloaded from that FTP site: I have no problem
I had read the news via Fileforum betanews before checking mozilla FTP directory.
    Take it easy

    leofelix: "FF 3.5.1 available"

    the index.html-file ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or...-US/index.html

    in the ftp-folder said:

    "Firefox 3.5.1 is coming soon!

Thanks for your interest in the upcoming release of Firefox 3.5.1, but there's still a bit more left to do before we're ready.
We're asking for our users and fans to be patient and wait until it appears on the official Firefox website before downloading."

mozilla did NOT want you to download it !

"Try to compare setup files from that directory and FF setup files from "official mozilla website".
    There are no differences."

    so what ?

who said it was any ?

"the link I posted contain the final FF 3.5.1 release, I always check links or software before posting"

    did it ?

it had NOT been officially "RELEASED" when you posted the download-link !

calm down my friend, no need to get upset, i suggest you read my posts again, i just wanted to show you some facts about your claim "I always check links or software before posting".

    you didn´t this time...
