Default Get an Ubuntu OS CD Absolutely Free!

Ubuntu is a Linux based operating system which can be easily downloaded from the Ubuntu website. But it’s size is very much big, so only those who have a high-speed internet connection can download it. So for those who cannnot download it, there is a solution for you. The Ubuntu website is giving free Ubuntu CDs to everyone in the world absolutely free without any shipping charges!

To get your copy of Ubuntu CD just follow the steps below:

    1. Goto this link.

    2. There will be two editions of Ubuntu. Click the version that you want.

    3. Once you have clicked the version you want, it will ask you to give your Launchpad account details. If you don’t have any account, you can register a new account. Type your email address in the “What is your e-mail address?” box and click on “No, I want to create an account now” to register a new account.

    4. A confirmation mail will be sent to the email id you have given. Open the mail and click on the link inside to confirm your registration.

    5. Once you have clicked on the confirm link, a page will appear and it will ask you to choose a display name and password. Fill it will your details and click on “Continue“.

    6. A survey page will appear. Fill it and click on “Continue“.

    7. Now a page will ask you to fill your personal details. Fill it with a correct address so that they can send the CD and click on “Submit Request“.

That’s it. Now wait for some days and the CD will come at your door steps.

This is very old, & there was no need to post it here. I didn't think they will send any CD. I have already ordered in May still I didn't get.

    Thank you Kishan
I dream a world where people do not quarrel because they prefer Internet Explorer instead of Firefox or Ubuntu, Mandriva or Red Hat Linux instead of Windows and viceversa.
I think that who likes technolgy should be fascinated by all operating systems.
But mine is only a dream

Actually, while this is old news, a Ubuntu Live CD is handy to have as you can use it to boot into your PC when Windows won't start so you can copy your files to a USB drive, etc.

This is produced here where I live if you have problems getting it is because of the UK postage system. If you really want it and are still waiting then do the obvious thing email and ask where it is, or just download and do an ISO with it. Personally you can stick it where the sun don't shine, I hate the thing as it looks as bad as it is. Linux no thanks. Ubantu, Unbantu off. The only OS I will use is windows.
