Get it On by T.Rex. first released July 2, 1971. this is the original version and the line up on the recording was Marc Bolan Mickey Finn, Steve Currie, Bill Legend. Backing Vocals were provided by Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman (from the Turtles) and the piano was played by Rick Wakeman (not Elton John as many think). The Youtube video is from Top Of the Pops and has Elton John in it
Right now because I am nervous I am listening to I love to Boogie, by Marc Bolan which was released on June 5 1976. It is the song I shared with my Mum before she died and every time I hear it I see her smilling face.
