Mozilla Firefox has improved it’s quality but has made it’s configuration a bit complex from version 3.5 onwards by maintaining several information and data features such as bookmarks, history, RSS feeds, cookies etc in its self managed SQLite database.
I am testing a product that claims, over time the above data gets rewritten and as a result the SQLite database gets fragmented.
To get the most out of Firefox, they claim you can boost and optimize the Firefox browser performance by defragmenting the Firefox SQLite database. When you defragement the database, they claim it removes all junk files and frees up space for the required files. As a result Firefox starts loading and performing faster.
Below is a link to a self contained Firefox Defragmentor. It does not install anything, it just opens when you run the exe file. I have been using it for about a week and have noticed a slight improvement in performance. Give it a look and give some feedback on your experience.
SpeedyFox will:
# Boost Firefox startup in up to 3 times!
# Speed-up browsing history
# Quicker operation with cookies
