    Default Am I Safe?

I have a laptop, desktop, printer, and huge Ext HD networked at home. The laptop runs Vista Ultimate, the Desktop XP SP3.

Both computers run AVG Free, Windows Firewall, Windows Defender, Spybot S&D, and Malwarebytes.

I have everything update and run automatically on both computers and I image my drives once a week and backup data once a night. I also have CCleaner and Perfect Disk running on a schedule on both computers.

Is there anything I am missing?

Nope ! You appear to be more than safe

I have just Vista SP1, NOD32 AV, Vista firewall & Windows Defender

However this Guide may just interest you.

Right now you have excellent setup except antivirus. I think you need a better antivirus software like Kaspersky or NOD.

Why not get a Free NOD32 antivirus from from here.
And with comodo firewall you can be more safe.

Comodo is free, you can download from here:

    ESET NOD32 AV

    Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro

    Cloudmark desktop

    Fully Updatetd OS

And ofcourse own brain - that is the most important thing why? becouse even the best winning all contests security software will not protect dumb user who click on everything and everywhere

I just bought Acronis thanks to this topic. They were still having the cyber Monday sale at midnight so...
This topic is very helpful actually, what with the names of good priducts and the grouping to use them in. Unless if there is a better one for that, in which I'm all game. I still use spybot/adaware and AVG.

    Question:

The Comodo website says the free version is a Firewall plus Antivirus and Proactive Security.

The NOD32 is also a Antivirus program so wouldn't running them both cause a conflict from running two antivirus programs? I thought that was a mortal sin!

When you will start Comodo setup, you will get option to select products which you want to install. Select only Firewall and complete the setup.
