    Default Running applications as admin?

    Ive set some programs to run as administrator like FF, opera etc..will that protect me from vulnerabilities of outside parties from accessing them ?

    No, it will have absolutely no effect and is completely unneccessary. Only programs that REQUIRE to be run as admin (e.g. Command Prompt or Spybot) need to be opened like that.

    Remove settings to run such apps like FF Opera or web browser. Once it runs as Administrator, any add-on w/ virus and worm can easily enter in your system and get installed....so it leads to unsecure web browsing.

    As above posted only few apps require UAC passes to perform admin task to modify or change system settings.

    wow i didnt know that thx..as ive been attacked with viruses once before.. err but what about command prompt and spysweeper / trend anti virus programs?

    All such apps like cmd, spy sweeper can run as isolated process and prompts for UAC elevation as per requirement.
