    It can happen to any security program. Symantec was attacked in December 2006.

    Given a security programme someone will try to hack it and that is why you should always have a back up plan and nevery rely on just one thing totally for your security.

    well, it seems that the problem was "only" for american servers and Kaspersky fixed it in less than half an hour

    I think this still has some more to come from this story and I wouldn't be suprised if there weren't other attacks not just on Kaspersky but on on others in next few weeks.

    I think you're right,
    Portuguese web site of BitDefender was attacked today in the same manners of Kaspersky USA servers.
    Unfortunately my sources are avalible only in italian
