    hi !

yes, it seems to be needed, since "Windows Firewall" is "Leaking"...

have you tested "Windows Firewall" with Gibsonīs security test & leaktest
    and with Comodoīs Leaktests ?

    i have...

read my posting in the firewall thread...

    http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/wind...tml#post134178

iīm using "Outpost firewall free" now, itīs totally invisible (stealth) and itīs "100% Leak-proof" with those tests !

btw. i added a link to matousec in my post above.

Most companies tend to offer Lifetime Licenses just as they are about to go bust. Too good to be true?, then it probably is.

Agnitum is a pretty good company. I know of at least one MVP (and longtime Outpost beta-tester) who Moderates their support forums.

nitinagarwal1988:" is there any need to invest on any 3rd party firewall??? "

sorry i didnīt read exactly what you said, so my answer was perhaps a little bit unclear since a line "fell off" while i was editing.

it should have been: yes, it seems to be needed, since "Windows Firewall" is "Leaking"...

but you donīt have to pay for a firewall, you can use "Outpost firewall free", however the PRO-version does offer some additional protection.

Me to. He's been active there for about 5 years.

@nitinagarwal1988, even with a router, a software firewall is recommended. I used the Windows Firewall on Windows Vista for a long time with no issues. (I now have ESET.)

Maybe there is more than one MVP there, which is quite likely. I see a name from CoU there as well.
