Default MSE will not let me access one file

I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed, and it works fine....except for one file problem. The file is an add-on to the rFactor game, called IndyCar.Series.2009.1.4-setup.exe.

MSE does NOT like this file, it seems - I have it copied onto both a USB drive and a DVD-R disc, and when I try to open the file, it causes explorer.exe to stop responding. I know it's something that MSE does, because I've also experimented with AVG 9.0, and it does not cause any problems with the operation of this addon file.

Right now, it really doesn't matter if I can access the file or not, because I have the game installed, with the addon, and everything's fine. But, if my hard drive crashes and I have to reinstall everything, there could be problems. Any help would be most appreciated.

    System Specs -

    AMD Sempron LE-1150, 2.0 GHz
    2 GHz RAM
320 GB HDD, 209 GB free
Windows Vista SP2 (soon to be replaced, I hope, by Windows 7)

Give some more details like Faulting module

The issue was reported on MSE Beta....But MSE RTM'd now.
Are you using the latest MSE Package.
Visit: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and use the latest one.

I never see a "Faulting Module" - the explorer.exe fades out, and shows "This application is not responding," so I close it. Where would I see or find "Faulting Module"? I don't get any error messages when the application fades out, just the "This application is not responding" message. Oh, I also re-downloaded MSE from the website you gave me, and reinstalled it, and still have the same problem.

Please open the system Event Viewer, you'll be able to find the Faulting Module, the DLL or application which is causing the issue
