Default Firewall tests by Motousec, Comodo is #1 !

    hi !

    the latest testresults from Matousec:
Comodos is #1 with 100% score on 148 tests !
OnlineArmor is #2 with 96%, a good alternative if you donīt want Comodo...
the 2 firewalls at the top are both FREE, it canīt be any better, can it ?
PcTools is #9 with 51% score....

i decided to try PcTools a few weeks back, but i couldnīt configure it quick enough because of a confusing userinterface.
as i needed a working computer, i decided to keep Comodo.
seeing this result, iīm glad i didnīt switch to PcTools...

Comodo Internet Security being free is a major plus!

Surprised to see Zone Alarm, McAfee, Norton and a few others in the 'not recommended' list!

Wonder how the Windows firewall would have fared!?

    Useful post!

Maybe because I am a newb or something but can somebody explain these tests.

I notice outpost firewall pro(paid) is not on there. In the last results it received a 93% and a recommended review. Did something drastically change since the last review? Isn't the Outpost security Suite the same firewall as the pro? and how did it get such a low rating?

Last review PC Tools was at 100% and now it's at 51%? how is that possible?

I know some of you run with the basics on firewalls and AV's but I just don't understand the testing results and how they vary so much from test to test.

All comments are appreciated....let the newb bashing commence

    hi !

previously Matousec used a suite with 84 tests, now they use 148 tests.

itīs a much tougher test now:
PcTools dropped down to #9 with 51% score,
Outpost Pro is now #6 on the list with 72% score.

click on the link to Matousec in my post above, all information that you need is available there.

the screenshot i posted only shows the results from the suite with 148 tests,
if fx. you want to see the results from the old suite with 84 tests then click the link above.
