I asked someone from Microsoft about this last night as I had noticed a new engine in July around the same time frame. Apparently, a new engine is generally released every month.

So, it is the blog that is new but its nice to have the communication.

You really should try the New MSE, it really rocks, espsecially when combined with rubotted and mcafee from msn. (free with you isp setup) Install msn isp first, then mcafee, mse, then rubotted(no more being a computer robot!). I don't even worry anymore, I just surf, compute, and do the occasional cleaning. Much more fun! My computer is a toy once again!!!

    Hi, dstapleton.

It is not advisable to run two anti-virus programs. To avoid severe conflicts, select either MSE or McAfee and install the other.

dstapleton: welcome to the forum !

but, this thread is about MSE getting a new engine, its NOT about what Antivirus-programs you use...

please read the subject BEFORE you post, and keep your posts ON the subject.

there are other threads in the forum about running multiple Antivirus-programs and the problems you can get...
