Once trust is lost, it isn't regained, particularly with a product that steals other vendor's Intellectual Property.

-- IOBit Steals Malwarebytes' Intellectual Property
-- IOBit’s Denial of Theft Unconvincing
    -- IOBit Theft Conclusion

    IOBit ???

when i saw the topic, my first thought was: "where have they stolen that ?"

no thanks, as pointed out by Corrine above: we still remember what they did to MBAM, IOBit stole MBAMīs database !

i donīt want anything from IOBit on any of my computers......

if you want a FREE antimalware-scanner then get one from a TRUSTED company.

i recommend Emsisoft AntiMalware (EAM): Emsisoft Anti-Malware for best protection - Free removal of Viruses, Bots, Spyware, Keyloggers, Trojans and Rootkits

itīs an excellent product with several awards including VB100.

the only difference between the FREE and PAID versions are the realtime-protection, which means that you have to do a scan manually with the FREE version.

iīve been using EAM paid-version for several years running together with MSE, i also use the FREE-versions of several other scanners like MBAM, Spywareblaster, SuperAntiSpyware etc.

none of them ever detects anything.....

    -Malware Fighter "immitates" MBAM
    -Advanced SystemCare "immitates" TuneUp Utilities.

    IObit creates low-quality software...

I highly recommend Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. The developers, researchers, etc. are long-time members of the security community. Most still are Microsoft MVPs. They are and have long been "in the trenches" helping on the various security forums. MBAM quickly gets samples of the latest variants and adds them to detection.
