BitDefender TrafficLight has started to pop up with "Trackers" (also when I'm visiting TWC):

Hi, japp. Advertising is a necessary evil in order to pay the bills. Some advertisers do include a tracking mechanism but at least with Firefox and IE9 you can tell block tracking. I don't believe that Safari and Opera browsers have incorporated that feature yet, but someone else may be able to assist wtih those browsers.

If you use Firefox, go to the Privacy tab in Options and click the box next to "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked."

For IE9, you can add a Tracking Protection List. See Internet Explorer 9, Privacy and Security Enhancements for information on TPLs.

I understand money is needed, but that doesn't imply I feel like being targeted in this way....
