    Hi !

Yes DNT+ is good and safe. But my personal preference is Ghostery.

    From the DNT+ information page.

You're now blocking more than 600 technologies from tracking you.
    From the Ghostery About page.

    Ghostery tracks over 1,000 trackers....
I would prefer to have the extra 400 or so trackers blocked. I also installed DNT+ just now to compare it to Ghostery. Ghostery is blocking more trackers on almost all of the websites I visited and sometimes up to 3 to 5 more. This is with Firefox. Different browsers will have a different set of trackers blocked as noted in this topic. Also do note that it's not recommend using these together.

I haven't used DNT+ much so can't comment on the support system but I know that the Ghostery team responds to inquiries pretty fast at the official help forum. Ghostery Forums at Get Satisfaction

I must say that it is interesting that two representatives from Abine found your post so quickly, hackerman1. Thank you, Sarah and Jeff for your comments!

Since your question was directed to me, yes, I trust Abine. I use the Firefox Add-On and I also use the Abine Tracking Protection List on IE9. Just remember with the TPL's on IE9 that allow rules trump block rules. This means that if you install one TPL that blocks a particular request and a second one allows it, then it will be allowed.

    Ditto...

Am I missing something in my comparison of DNT+ and Ghostery?
Seems to me that the software blocking more trackers would be preferred.
