Thumbs up Save upto 2 GB of Storage in Vista SP1!

In this tutorial, I'll give you some tips and tricks to allow you save up to 2 GB of storage on Windows Vista SP1.

After a clean install of Windows Vista, perform the following before installing any software:

1- Disable System Restore for C:\ where you installed Windows Vista (System Restore will guide you by flagging the drive where you installed Windows).

    2- Install Windows Vista SP1.

3- After installation, start CMD by administrative privileges and type: "vsp1cln.exe" without quotes.

4- This tool will allow you to cleanup Vista SP1 installation files and save 2 GB of storage, click Yes.

    5- You're done!

I'll follow up with pictures for illustrations soon

    Kind Regards,

    Well written article ahmhdy.

In my opinion 'system restore point' is precious as it saved me many times while playing with registry. One more thing is, "vsp1cln.exe" saves only 900MB in Vista Ultimate system. I think 2GB is pretty tough

Thanks Ahmed, how is the weather in Egypt ? And how is your military training going on ?

The following switches can also be used btw:

/o: path to an offline Windows
    /Verbose - display extra details
/quiet - silent execution, skips questions
    /h: display Vsp1cln.exe commands list

    A little more here !
