    hi !

no, they are not by default.

it looks like Vista, a big button with an icon and the app-name to the right.

and im running W7 RC, not XP or Vista.

    hi !

at first i thought microsoft had changed the look of the taskbar in W7, but i have solved
the problem, the last couple of hours i have installed and customized W7 RC and started to restore everything from the W7 beta-installation, and it seems that ive been working to long...

under taskbar and startmenu properties i had changed the settings to "combine when taskbar is full", then it looks like Vista.

You mean 'never combine, hide labels' ?

    hi !

    YES !

it should be an option, with "combined" buttons you cant see all running apps, i want to have an overview of what is running.

its important when: setting up, customizing, tweaking, troubleshooting...

if i remember correctly, i made a registry-hack with W7 beta to iconize the taskbar, would it be possible to get "never combine, hide labels" with a registry-hack ?

if you iconize the taskbar in vista using enhancemyvista, it works without combining buttons..

If you right click on the taskbar and click properties, on the taskbar tab there is a drop down menu called "taskbar buttons". One of the choices is 'never combine'.

    hi !

    yes i know there is...

but if you read my post: ..."never combine, hide labels..."

i want icons WITHOUT "combined buttons".
