    Default Norton Labs UAC Tool

I am aware that some people are NOT happy with disabling the User Account Control or [UAC] in Vista due to the security vulnerabilitys. But at the same time get tiered of it coming up every time you want to use a program that you know is trusted for example Tune Up Utility's 2009.

If you trust the program you are using but are getting fed up with the UAC prompts, Norton's version allows you to tick a box to say "Don't ask me again".

This way you will not be prompted by the same program over and over again.

Its a free download so even if you give it a try and decide you don't like it just remove it. You not losing anything.

    Download from Norton Labs

Yes I had come across this program earlier, but not used it yet. Has anyone here tried it?

Even I came across this utility few months back. But since I switched to 7 almost 8 months back, I didn't try it.

I searched for the thread I wrote about this tool in but could not find it.

I installed this tool in Vista Ultimate SP1 last year and had a huge issue that caused me to restore to an earlier image of my computer.

I just cannot remember the type of issue it caused.

Thanks. I have another machine with Vista on it and I really like the idea of this tool, so I think I will try it again.

I used this on Vista ultimate 64 for a while. It's GREAT.
Just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and it won't install.

    Help!

might not be compatible with Windows 7 as the UAC is better than Vistas version.

Does this mean I'm permanently SOL?
