    Default All Tasks Folder - Hidden Key to access 250 system tasks

    Hi

    By chance we have found in the Registry an entry with the promising name All tasks . Behind it hide in Vista and Windows 7 undocumented task headquarters of the system control which hides Microsoft from the user.

    The key is Hkey_Classes_Root\CLSID \ {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.

    If you this Class-ID in the following form :

    shell::: {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    in the address field of Windows Explorer give, more than 250 system tasks appear. You never see a row of it on normal way.

    After the "Return" the string shell::: {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} changes in the address field to " All tasks . If you want to keep this task overview lasting without having to give over and over again the tiresome Class-ID, pull the symbol All tasks from the Explorer on the desktop or in any folder. There originates a linking which leads you any time to the task overview.

    In another word; If you want to keep this Taskview permanently drag the icon from Explorer to the desktop or in any folder. It creates a shortcut ..."

    You reach the same result if you provide a new folder with the ending
    {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} at any place.

    If you do not want to type the Class-ID, you can visit this of course also in the Registry under Hkey_Classes_ Root\CLSID, pretend there and copy to "F2".

    Well the link is in German, so translated as could to English!

    hi !

    when i saw your post it looked like something i had seen before, so i took a look at my HD, and yes i had a folder named "{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}".

    so i also tried to find it in the forum, but i could not, i then "moved up" one level to www.thewindowsclub.com/
    and made a new search for "{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}", and then i finally found it.
