Start TuneUp Utilities and get straight to the "Increase performance"

Click the right mouse button on "TuneUp Drive Defrag". By default, TuneUp Drive Defrag to optimize all the attached devices. If not do so, just remove the check mark before the units that you don't want to optimize

Uninstall programs that you no longer use, especially the trialware and test programs.

use TuneUp Uninstall Manager form the suiteTune Up utilities gives you a nice and easy way to do this, because tells you which programs are normally used and which are not .....
