Lightbulb Should one disable the Task Scheduler Service in Windows 7?

    A small tip!

Many suggest disabling the Task Scheduler service to save resources.

But one should not however disable this service even if you don't use it.

Disabling this service will prevent Prefetch (.pf) files, the trace files and the Layout.ini file from being created or updated.

This will hamper performance of your Windows.

Also RAC, Defrag, RSS updates (IE), System Restore (check points) along with other scheduled system tasks. I've never seen a benefit from disabling the service.
