I'm a newbie at this kind of stuff. I copied the code and pasted it into Notepad and saved it as a .vsb file on my desktop. Then I did a search for the Startup folder. My search results came up with about 8 different folders called Startup. Now what? How do I tell where to put the file so it will play when I start my computer? At what point in the startup process is it supposed to play?

    Hello and Welcome !

The start up location is "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
Note: ProgramData is a hidden folder so Go to Computer | Click on Organize | Folder and Search options | Veiw Tab | Look for Show Hidden Files and Folder to see ProgramData folder.

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

Would like to try this, but unclear on several things? as the article was not clear, save the code in Notepad as a .vbs file and place it in the start up folder.? what comes to my mind is save to desktop? then drag to start menu button? to place it in the start folder.

Thank you. It worked. I am having fun playing with the greeting. I save the original file on my desktop (for now) and double click on it to hear the greeting. Then, after editing it, when I like it, I replace the file in the Start folder. Thank you so much.
