Default How To Copy Error Codes & Messages From Dialog Boxes In Windows 7 & Vista.

the title article talks about using a program to copy the contents of these popups. Once I found the trick, I don't think I have had a popup I could not copy without using a helper app - if I have it is very infrequent. The problem is that you can't highlight the contents. HOWEVER, that isn't necessary - just make the popup active - place the cursor in it and click. Then Ctrl C, then Ctrl V where you want to paste it.
It works, at least most of the time.
