    Lightbulb Which codec pack is better? K-Lite Codec Pack or Shark007?

    Hello guys

    I dont know if this is the right section for this but I have a questions.

    I have Windows 7 64bit, I always watch videos or listen to audios with different kinds of video/audio formats,
    now my question is,
    Which would you recommend, K-Lite Codec Pack or Shark007 Codec Pack
    and by the way, I also installed VLC...

    Thanks for help.

    I personally would not install any Codec pack. With VLC you should be pretty well covered and Win7 itself is pretty good in codecs. But if you absolutely must have one, take the Shark pack. He is a good man and will help you out if there are problems.

    thanks for your suggestions guys.

    yes, vlc will do, installed it already before installing the shark007 win7 pack.
    and for whs, thanks for the link to htg (explains for i think he/she got a problem with it)
    i love using wmp12 as my default player but without shark007 cant play some of my videos, even .FLV from youtube..
    wmp12 with shark007, i think is enough
    again thanks for your replies.

    I use Shark Codec pack since it came out. I used to recommend it a lot. But multiple codec pack will mess up the computer for instance K-Lite, Shark codec will create problem.

    I dont know what will happen if 2 or more codec packs installed in one pc, that would be disaster LOL!
    @CaptainJack: Yes I also use shark007.

    I tried K-Lite Codec pack on Windows 7 but for some reasons, it didn't recognized my FLV videos... I didn't configure it, just installed and let it set in.
    but shark007 works like a charm in WMP12...
