Many applications require location services to improve their features. Examples aplenty! There’s Foursquare, Facebook and many others. Even many windows 8 apps have this feature enabled, by default.
This raises privacy concerns for some users. If you are one of them, turn off location services so that no app installed accesses your location. How to go about?

To turn off location services, go to PC Settings. Press Win+I simultaneously to access the option. It present at the bottom of your computer screen. Click on the option.

There under the settings section you will see an option for privacy. Click on the privacy tab. Under it disable the ‘Let apps use my location’ option by sliding the slider to the opposite end. Furthermore, you can disable apps from using your account picture and name.
