Does anyone know if a dump file gets created when that happens and where it might be stored? i poked around the $Windows.~BT folder and C:\Windows\ but couldn't find it.Also, could someone list the different phases of the upgrade process and where the log files are located for each phase?

Logs are created as records, it something goes wrong, we can easily find what might be the reason behind failure.. I never checked these logs :P

Good info. Could have used that list a few weeks ago when troubleshooting a failed upgrade for a client.
