    Default start programs

I would like to stop Spybot from loading at startup

I went to windows defender\startup program and
it's listed there with the permitted category.

How do I change that to either not permitted or
uncheck it like I did in windows 98SE

    thanks, anne

Type 'MSCONFIG ' in star menu -> Run
Jump to the " startup " tab ....then find there Spybot and unchek it and if it doesn't work then go to the "services" tab and find the service started by spybot

    Hi Hari,

Thank you. I could kick myself for not trying what you suggested.

    It worked fine.

I put a couple of your sites in my favorites to review at a later time
