And just WHAT Vista drivers do I download so my Epsom Scanner and Photo
    Editing and printing programs work?

Did you take it up with Epsom? What did they say?

    > How is it made compatible with scanners and printers and editing software?

Let me print something... Now I shall scan something.... Don't know the how and
why of compatiblity, must be something to do with the driver.

Enter the specific perfs in Google, and seek. Such a list would wrap around the
Equator, then would you read it?
What did MS say about the URL where to find them?

    1) First of all its expensive, in some countries vista ulitmate costs 700 us
    dollars!
    2) it needs a new fast computer for it to run well enough to use
. . . Hmmmm. . . You don't need a new "fast" computer, you need a new computer, even bottom line. Vista, to run smoothly, needs 1GB of RAM, every computer now-a-days, new, has that standard.

    3) you often need to throw away perfectly functioning peripherals because
stupid vista cant use the XP drivers
and then you have to buy new ones
That would be because of the hardware manufacturers, not Windows Vista. Microsoft has many universal drivers that will work with most hardware, although they may not be made by the manfacturer.

    4) you often need to throw away perfectly functioning software because
vista-crapista is no longer compatible with them.
See, I think you're using the wrong version on this issue. for your software to work, you need to make sure you have Windows Vista SP1 installed, and that should work with all MODERN software.

    5) you lost valuable time and energy just to get stupid vista to work
If you managed to get XP to work, I'm pretty sure Vista is no harder in my experience.

    6) it then takes up more energy for it to function thrashing the disks all
the time, needing 3d accelerated graphic cards for aero that gobble up the
    watts
and making the cpus work harder (yes the more the cpu works the more energy
it uses). The PSU (power supply units) have jumped from 250-350 watts to 500
watts or more for a stupid computer than can run vista.
So turn 3d accelerated graphics off. Then you'll have the same type of desktop as XP and you'll save energy. Microsoft has more services added to Vista, so all the new tools and gadgets work. To get rid of these extra CPU spikes, you need to disable all the services that you don't need and fix the startup items. Also, power management needs to be configured.

    7) Having all that crap in an era where people are out of jobs, the economy
is in a crisis and credit is harder to get....
having all that vista-energy waste when global warming threatens to destroy
civilization is a crime to humanity.
Computers have always costed the same, if anything, dropped in price over the years. Without computers, you wouldn't know squat about global warming, which has to evident proof of existence.

Vista is a dinosaur product. It should be canceled and buried and forgotten.
Its also incredibly stupid design and made and loved by retarded monkeys
    ONLY!

It doesn't have a stupid design, it's design is cutting edge. It's sleeker, more user friendly and safe than XP.

Nice little icons and transparent windows does not substitute good design.

Toolbars that cannot be configured, bread crumbs that are non intuitive for
the layman, recycle bins that can me deleted,
windows that forget the size of their columns and general settings, a search
that cant search zit, personal options with choices instead of tabs leading
you to more and more widows making everything non centralized, bad way to
    control the system restore points,
totally destroyed interface (or lack of) defragmenter, UAC that is so
annoying that people end up either turning it off or pressing OK each time
without reading the message, the turn off button that is just an arrow with
an idiotic pop up menu (for crying out loud!), Hidden menu toolbars, the
inability to add a delete button and up button right on the toolbar, the
FOLDER PANE of Windows explorer that moves right and left on its own with no
horizontal scroll bar (this is zuper duper stupid), only ONE theme, fonts
and colors that look horrible on older CRT monitors straining the eyes and
confusing people, complex network center with options here and there that a
    newbie will feel lost in...

    should I go on?????

THIS IS NOT BAD DESIGN... ITS HORRIBLE DESIGN! PATHETIC!

    Watch the Ironman BluRay.
At least one of the graphic artist uses Vista.
If people that talented use Vista, surely a loser like yourself's opinion is
    only meaningless, irritating, barking.

The Greeks had one word for it "Kalos" beauty in all aspects

this would include every aspect of an OS to be as good as possible.

Holistic design... that's smart, beautiful, intuitive, versatile, efficient
in all ways, and with a price that would let more people use it

Could I help microsoft design such a thing YOU CAN BET YOUR ARSE I COULD!
