Just when one thinks Microsoft is bad, Epsom's worse.

    http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...Type=Downloads

    Does not have a Vista Driver, looks like a very good scanner Warren, looking at;

    http://windows-vista-updates.blogspo...ows-vista.html

doen't seem Epsom have made one as yet. Hope you can get to contact them somehow.
It's too good of a scanner to dump.

Users like you - who couldn't find a St. Bernard if you were in a
phone booth with two of them - always blame Vista for their own
    stupidity.

Check out Ubuntu at www.ubuntu.com. It's free and will probably run your
HP printer and your Epsom scanner.

you can run winxp in a virtual machine that supports USB and run your
software from inside the virtual machine..

I know its slow... but if you have a fast pc then it's a work around

yea, vista is just like Millennium, bad usability.
My HP AIO printer/scanner software for scanning cannot launch after life
update! The product is claimed to be vista compliant but in fact it is NOT.

My daughter needed Vista for school so she installed Vista Ultimate retail on her 4 year old $300 Walmart Chinese desktop special. Vista recognized all hardware and installed appropriate drivers, to include her bottom of the line HP printer, Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard, and even her webcam which Logitech claims is not Vista compatible. She's been using Vista for almost a week now and loves it. Go figure.

I did just that and they will not install. I get a "syntax" error at 31%.
It goes no further. How do I get past the "syntax" error to install the
    drivers?
