    Not if you remove the hard drive, leaving Vista on it, put in a new one
    and install Ubuntu on it. If you ever need warranty work with HP (now,
    there's a joke! HP's "support" is like a rubber crutch), just put the
    old hard drive back in and voila it's right back like it was when you
    bought it.
