    It depends on exactly what each web site has registered in the DNS
    (Domain Name System, which translates names like Microsoft Corporation to
    a numeric IP address). Some register only with the www prefix, some
    both with and without it, some only without it. It doesn't mean that
    anything on your machine is malfunctioning.

    And please don't put an important part of your question only in the
    subject. Make sure the entire thing is in the body of the message.

    I understand what you are saying about web sites and how they are setup on the server side, however I must be missing something as I do not see how it applies to my situation. I have no less than 20 website that I can not access on Vista yet I can on my 3 XP boxes, so I am looking at it as something Vista or my Vista machine that is making this happen. If the situation was entirely server side than many people would have the same problem.

    You're right, if you can see them from other machines then my
    explanation is not right.

    So something is blocking them on your Vista machine. Check the hosts
    file and the firewall. Maybe the internet security settings?
