The menu bar has been dropped from Windows, for the most part. I guess M/S
thought it wasn't needed.

Most tasks can be accoplished using the new buttons.
To temporarily show the menu bar press 'alt' (this works in all applications
that now hide the menu bar, like Internet Explorer, Messenger etc).
If you want it on all the time in Windows Explorer, go to Folder Options
(Organise -> Folder and Search Options), then click view and near the top is
an entry for always show menus, check that box and press OK.

You can get it to show temporarily by holding down the Alt key. You can
also get it to show in any window by clicking on Organize -> select
Layout -> put a check mark next to Menu bar. If you want it to show in
all windows, then go to Folder Options in Control Panel shown in classic
view, click on View tab, put a check mark next to Always show menus.

See! I can learn also. I have just never needed the menu bar since Vista was
introduced.
