    IE Tab is only the rendering engine of IE. You cant load webpages that require activex addons and such. But I do prefer FF over IE. The only thing you would need to keep IE for is Windows Updates. Other than that you wont need it.

    Actually Windows Update and other pages that utilize activex work fine on my machine using IE Tab.

    Because you still have IE installed. Its something that comes built into the operating system. If you had an iso image of your operating system disc and edited it with vlite or nlite to remove IE then you would not get any Windows Updates.

    That is correct. I never thought about systems without IE installed. I just never use it anymore.
