    Unhappy Problem Backing Up

I have an 8 month old Dell laptop running Vista Home Premium and am unable to complete a back up. On my latest attempt the back was aborted Code Ox800706BE and when I tried again the code had changed to Ox800704D3.

From various forums I've looked at there does appear to be a Vista back up problem but I never see any definite answers. Can anyone please help ?

    Hello,

Sometimes the OEM's allocate a partition on the hard disk drive to be a recovery drive, that drive is not intended to be a Backup destination and may give errors.

If you have an external hard disk, try doing a backup on that and you should not have any problems...

    Hope this helps.

True, not much seems to be availble on this.

Manually backup your data files and go back to the Vista OEMs Recovery image, to get your Vista running properly. maybe something corrupted along the way. This may get your Vista backup running OK.

Else try this 3rd party freeware backup program.
