ok..so ive had a score of 3.0 since july..until today after downloading an upgrade to my nvidia program..and from the image below..its lower..why?

i was hoping for at least an index score of 3.2 ..one good thing, the memory score is high lolzz what a way to say merry christmas

Driver updates are known to affect WEI scores ... but these changes should be taken with a pinch of salt ... nothing much changes actually. It could simply be an extra service in the background or an existing process consuming more resources after the upgrade.

The WEI is not very perfect. Identical systems with identical specs have been known to show different WEI !

True, you can also hack your WEI score to your liking this way Features of software relying on your Windows Experience Score will then ALSO get enabled. eg. if your score is below a 3.0, you can’t have themes for the Photo Screensaver.

It happens w/ nVidia graphics most of time.... I have already got the same issue.
But it doesn't affect.... becoz...I don't update my gfx drivers until next release.

You have to be careful when updating drivers, once I updated a driver in my nvidia graphics card and a game I played (Battlefield 2142) would give several bugs. And I wasn't the only one having this problem so be careful when updating!!! Fortunately I used system restore that windows vista had and I was able to downgrade my driver. Since then I have never updated it.

Avoid updating drives through Microsoft Updates, and update them only if you feel the need to and that too from the companies websites directly.
