    Yup..You can uninstall them.
*Go to add/remove program(type appwiz.cpl in startmenu and hit enter)
*Click on the link View installed updates
*Now, you can right click on any update and select Uninstall option to remove the update.

Are you talking about in the Windows Update module?

If there are updates you do not want to see listed anymore you can right click (I think) and select hide update.

I am not on a Vista machine at the moment so the exact procedure is foggy but you can do it.

Download Tune Up Utilities and in the disk cleanup, select the Windows Update Backups and clean those up.

If the files have been downloaded, they would be cleaned.

The manual step involves going to \Windows\SoftwareDistribution and deleting the downloaded cabinet files from one of the folders, most probably the Downloads folder.

Also, if you do not want to install an update, hide it via right clicking.

v3loc1ty, You cannot delete but you can hide them to prevent them from showing up all the time. Just view the updates, rt. click on them an select "hide update" for each one and they will no longer show up but will still be available if you decide to update at some other time.

    Good luck,

Right click on them ... and hide them if you dont want to see them !

Edit : LOL, 3 of us posted the same suggestion almost at the same time.
