Default How to set file types to open in browser?

In Windows XP and earlier you are able to go to the file type manager and check the option for specific file types to "browse in same window" so that the file opens in the browser and not in a separate window.

I cannot find any way to do this in Vista. Please help!
    Thank you!

    Thank you Andy!

Thats what I found by doing google searches. I can change the file type/program association there but I do not see an option to allow files to open in the browser like I do in XP. I have a web based program to review files and in Vista all the files open in a separate "pop-up" window.

    Thank you!

Previously, IE and Windows Explorer were tied together. That is why Explorer could switch to IE in the same window and open webpages.

But with IE7, due to security concerns, IE and WE were seperated. That is why Vista will not perform the same way as XP did.

    Hope it helps

But I have IE7 on an XP machine and it opens all docs (doc, xls, pdf, ppt, etc..) in the browser. It must be something they disabled in Vista.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!
