    Default Should i backup the C drive only? or include D too?

    ive been getting outside help on some of my vista inquiries..not just confined to WVC. curious, which is best, backup the C drive...or include the D drive as well? my external drive has the C stuff for now hmm

    The D: drive, if it is your recovery partition, you should burn to DVD with the "Recovery Disk Creation Wizard". Then there is no further need to back it up all the time.

    what about macrium i have now

    saw that Recovery Disk Creation Wizard is a shareware..its like 140 dollars lol?

    That can't be. You better check again. But burning the recovery DVDs from the recovery partition is a standard function that your manufacturer put on (because they were too cheap to give you a recovery DVD in the first place). That's why the exact procedure is slightly different depending on manufacturer. But usually the wizard turns up when you type RECOVERY into the start/search field. See picture (that's on a HP):
