Default PAE - Physical Address Extension question.

I have enabled PAE on my system but I am a bit confused as to what is does.

Does it allow the PC to use all 5GB of ram in Vista 32bit or just show that it has it???

By enabling PAE, it allows one to use 4Gb or more memory in Vista 32bit.

For those who may not know what PAE or Physical Address Extension feature is, visit Physical Address Extension - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can enable the Physical Address Extension feature In Vista, provided some requirements are met. More on that at The system memory that is reported in the System Information dialog box in Windows Vista is less than you expect if 4 GB of RAM is installed
