Default Message : You do not have enough access privileges

I am attempting to stop certain startup programs from starting during a boot by using CodeStuffStarter which I have used for years. For many I get the following message: "It is very likely you do not have enough access permissions." I am the Administrator how to I get the "access" privileges necessary to stop the program. I have not tried to use msconfig as yet.

not a problem, click start, type msconfig in search bar hit enter, pass UAC previlleages, then move to start up tab of the utility, uncheck the unwanted startups, apply changes then ok, give a restart, here is your work will get done.

I do know how to use msconfig but I am wondering why I can't get a positive result with CodeStuffStarter which is an excellent startup program manager.

Or use WinPatrol. Much easier to use and shows hidden locations too. (I hope WinPatrol works on x64.)

Thanks. I did close a couple of programs through msconfig and then changed the General Tab to "Normal Startup".

Put in WinPatrol and it worked fine. Thanks
