Converting what into what?
Anything into PDF.
^ if you want to convert office docs to PDF, then i suggest you to download and install office 2007 SP2, now use save as and select pdf option from the list of save as type, and office will do the rest for you![]()
Right said... or you can use the following add-in on Office 2007 SP1 or earlier.
Download details: 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS
O2010 Technical Preview can also save PDFs.
I use doPDF ( http://www.dopdf.com/ ). It acts like a printer and converts anything you send to it (via the print window) into a .pdf. I just converted this thread into a .pdf with doPDF and uploaded the result to skydrive. You can download it from here (PDF compatibility converter - Windows Help Forum.pdf - Windows Live ) and inspect the result.
I do not trust on the quality of any other 3rd party convertor as most of the time they screws the formatting and editing of the document....like sometime they increases the spaces between the lines or changes the alignment automatically or kills the shadows or 3D effects inserted in the images or text.
so i only trust on the pdf convertor plugin provided by Microsoft. It is the best....
That's ok for office 2007. I use it too. But what about all the other files one might want to convert?
Anything. E.g. a picture like this (Full page photo.pdf - Windows Live ) or a webpage like this (PDF compatibility converter - Windows Help Forum.pdf - Windows Live ).
