1st time poster, been having a noticeable problem since November 4th according my reliability monitor. I don't know if its being caused by an MS update - there was an IE update installed on Nov 4 - or what but I wasn't the one installing anything on that day or since the problem started.
Problem: If I leave my computer idle for 10-20 minutes, it hard shutdowns. The power light on my notebook looks like its in sleep mode (slow orange flash) but when I hit the power button it boots up and asks if I want to start windows normally.
Here are the main specs (ordinary stuff - just for school purposes):
make/model: Toshiba notebook
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core 2 GHz
Ram: 4 GB
OS: Vista home premium SP2
System type: 64-bit
I'm not the most computer savy person in the world but I know how to read and take direction in order to troubleshoot. If anyone out there has seen this problem before and can offer some solutions, I'd be very appreciative.
