Did you download the manual install SP2 file from your hard drive or just try Windows Update? That error code is a windows update error code.

Try disabling all startup programs using msconfig and make sure no antivirus program is running then tey installing the SP2 file from your hard drive instead of windows update.

IMO... You should have uninstalled SP1 Beta. You said, "You upgraded SP1 final to SP1 Beta" that is not possible in any circumstances.

If you have cleaned backup of Vista SP1 Beta using Vsp1cln.exe tool, then re-installation is only way.

I had SP1 beta in the computor.

When SP1 final came out, Windows update updated my computor with the final since I have Windows update to automatic update.

I don't have to do anything, only press restart when it ask for.

Windows update probably uninstall the beta version but I don't know.

For SP2, I downloaded SP2 in my computor and tried manually installing it but I always get the same message.

When I tried to install SP2, KIS was disable.

I just downloaded Vista SP! and SP2 to my computor.

I will try tomorow installing Sp1 to see what hapens and after, SP2.

But in CCleaner it is marked MS Windows Vista Ultimate SP1.

Try to disable KIS real time protection while installing SP2, also prevent KIS from running at windows start up.
Be sure you are using the latest KIS 2010 9.0.0.736 (Critical Fix 2), please.
After installing successfully SP2 please reenable KIS real time protection and KIS start up when Windows start

    SP1, I get already install.

Sp2, here is the complete error:

    E_NOINTERFACE(0X80004002)

Excuse me for the # of the error. I din't give you the right error on my first post. It was not error:80070002 but is error:E_NOINTERFACE(0X80004002).

Before trying to install SP2, I downloaded and install: "System Update Readiness Tool (KB947821) [April 2009]and(September 2009)"

    Well,

Since I done almost everything That is to do in this error, guess my only solution is WIN 7.

Since I built this computor, I have my CD. And use'd the CD to repair Windows twice after SP1 was Install.

I tried that before Seti. But I tried it again today and no help.

Every Windows update, I get all update for Vista, IE8, Office 2007 and bonis for Vista ultimate, guess i'll never get SP2 on this computor.

I am waiting to see if WIN 7 ultimate upgrade will have a rebate on it for Christmass.
