Default Event Viewer is missing in Windows

Do you know how to repair or replace a missing Event Viewer in Vista Ultimate? Can you send me a fix I can install because I have tried everything else? It says Service Eventlog was not found on computer.

Please search and check if you can find eventvwr.exe on your computer. It is located in C:\Windows\System32.

If not run sfc /scannnow or system file checker.

Also run ChkDisk and your antivirus software.

If it doesn't help, you may have to Repair your Windows installation.

You may also want to check out our freeware Windows Event Viewer Plus. It lets you view Event Logs faster than the default in-built Windows Event Viewer and also export the Entry to a text file, select the Web Search Button to look up the entry online, to find out more information or troubleshoot errors.
